Shoes make the woman-Fashionistas make the shoe!

A Woman's shoes speak volume about her without ever having to state a word. A prudently selected footwear demonstrates a lot about the individual wearing it,her moods, financial standing can be easily set by the right pair of shoes. It's important for a woman to know what looks good on her feet, varieties of shoes, quality and which shoes are best for specific events, celebration, work and play.
The design of shoes has varied enormously through time and from culture to culture, with appearance originally being tied to function.

Shoes have traditionally been made from leather, wood or canvas, but are increasingly made from other materials: plastics, and petrochemical-based products.

                                Dye-able Shoes and Handbags
If you are looking for an exact match of shoes and bag, such as for wedding shoes, you could always go with dye-able shoes and bags. With companies like Dye-able Shoe Store you can choose from several different general and designer shoes and bags, and have them custom match the items to the color of your choose.

Orthopedic shoes are made especially for fashionistas with problematic feet (Which is No joke!). They are made with anatomically-correct comfort qualities, padded removable foot beds, wide width toe room and most important arch support. Orthopedic shoes have come along way in the fashion world and can now be found in very stylish designs. No-longer considered your grandparent's shoes.

                        VARIETIES OF LADIES FOOTINGS
Vibram Five Fingers aims to simulate your bare feet experience. With the benefit of protecting your precious feet. After all protecting ones feet was the original reason for creating footwear in the first place to shield against the whimsy of "Mother  Nature's" elements, painful pebbles, thorns, glass etc...
There is a large variety of shoes available for women. I will merely touch on some of the most common categories:

High-heeled shoes have long served as an aphrodisiac in many modern and ancient cultures. Due to their obvious benefits: They add height and requires a sexy wiggle in your strut. Traditionally high heels were worn by women for formal gatherings & social occasions, but now-a-days they are worn when ever one feels the urge to spice up her look! They come in a a wide varieties of colors and styles to feast your eyes upon. In our Psyche they have come to represent Instant Sensuality, The Feminine, enthusiastic appeal, and sassy lady attitude.

Stiletto heels are very popular and usually sport a narrow heel which are continually reaching new heights seasonally!

Wedge heels (with a wedge-shaped sole rather than a heel post) have long been a favorite of mine since my childhood. If not to high they make a sturdy heeled shoe which is easier on your feet and doesn't tax your balance as much as stilettos.

The so-called kitten heels  short slender stiletto heels (usually 1½-2 inches high).

Sneakers Shoe/Boot has a whimsical aura about her: A shoe which resembles sneakers, but spots some stylish differences like a heel instead of the rubber flat of a sneaker. Lately I have observed some real strides being made in this design compared to the old-fashioned ones. They are colorful, dramatic and interesting. Which is surprising to me since initially I did not care for the early versions. Earlier designs looked ridiculous as though some one had slammed a pair of sneakers into a heads on collision with a platform with disastrous results. Remarkably creative designers have managed to manipulate the sneaker shoe to create really fascinating results.

Mules are bare back shoes with no fitting around the heel. Sort of flip-flop with heels and a whole lot more eye-appeal.

Sling backs are shoes which are secured by a strap behind the heel, rather than over the top of the foot. I like the design but one must be careful to assure a proper fit, since excessive friction can result in sore Achilles tendons. You know what I'm talking about!

Ballet flats are girly, practical & comfortable ballerina inspired of course footings, that work with just about anything. They are a must have in any Diva's closet.

Kimmies have low heels and a relatively short vamp, (Vamp refers to the part of the "upper" shoe). The vamp is a part of the shoe which covers anywhere on the top part of the foot between where the toes and the legs connect to the foot.

In styles that don't offer a lot of coverage on top of the foot, the part that covers the tops of the toes might also be referred to as the vamp.which exposes the instep. They are popular for warm-weather, practical and comfortable.

Pumps/Courts are typically high-heeled, slip-on dress shoes.

Clog also known as platform shoes have thick soles and heels:

Moccasins have been here centuries before Europeans arrived and were traditionally made by the indigenous people of the land. They are very comfortable and a soft minus heels and usually made of leather.

Sandals: the old summer stand by needs little introduction consisting of a sole and various style straps, much of one's feet is left exposed to the elements of outdoors allowing your feet an cool airy experience.

Espadrilles are another cool airy warm-weather shoe. They usually have a cotton or canvas upper and a flexible sole of rope or rubber. Styles vary and may even have high-heels.

The Saddle we can't over look her: Ordinarily made of leather  with a contrasting saddle-shaped band over the instep. Supposedly the ancient Romans adored the sandal.

Penny loafers were a child hood favorite of mine because of the slot which held a penny on the top of each shoe. They are casual easy to slip-on footing normally without laces; often with tassels & buckles.

Boat shoes are often difficult to distinguish from the loafer except that they may be more casual. They are primarily leather or simulated leather laces are usually simple. Sporting a comfortable sole to prevent damaging or scratching the deck.

Every Divas is familiar with Boots: They may be anklets or sexy eye-popping length. To days boots have come a long way baby since rubber galoshes and easily make their own fashion statement. They are made of various materials including patent leather, vinyl, suede, lacquers, and the common leather of course. What ever suits your fancy you will find it in a boot. The functional boots include: rain boots and snow boots, work boots and hiking boots etc...

The list and varieties of women's footwear continually evolves and I feel we have only touched upon the possibilities here. One thing for sure the Empire-State of super high heel shoes many girls are sporting now are eye-catchers, but they often are terribly uncomfortable & unsafe. When it comes to fashion and beauty-We can only speculate on-How High is to High! Doesn't seem to be a concern for many. Personally I do appreciate the Wow-appeal of some of these skyscraper high heeled spectacles but they aren't for every Diva nor are they practical for everyday wear.

The truth is no one can tell you which shoe is best for you, like taste buds they are a personal matter of taste. Often women have several varieties of shoes which we favour according to your event/occasions. My motto is look good yes-but be comfortable doing so!

I thought it would be a helpful service to provide my fashion/health conscious readers with a quick mini comprehensive guide containing lay-person terminology. Part of being a Pro-Self-Health Advocate requires becoming an informed consumer, identifying & understanding food additives.

Unfortunately all to often merely attempting to read some food product labels is disheartening and intimidating task. Regardless of the fact that manufacturers are now legally required  to provide ingredients & nutritional value fact labels on their food products. Truth is the average shopper is completely baffled by incomprehensible industry related words & scientific terms. I have provided some helpful data for you within my article below!

KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE LABELS!

  • Acacia Gum/Gum Arabic/Guar Gum: Supposedly a natural ingredient made from the hardened sap of  the acacia tree and helps stick ingredients together while adding fiber.
  • Aspartame: artificial sweetener that's commonly used in diet soft drinks and chewing gum is 180 times sweeter than sugar.
  • BHA/Butylated Hydroxytoluene: Chemical used as a preservative in cereals and snack foods.
  • Bleached Flour: After it's milled and bleached white with chemical like chlorine, this baking flour loses many of its original whole-grain nutrients.
  • Calcium Peroxide: Agent is used to bleach flour and improve dough strength, grain, and texture.
  • Casen/Sodium Casenate: This dairy protein can help hold different foods together.
  • Chicory Root Fiber: Used to hold different ingredients together and salso contains the naturally occurring fiber inulin.
  • Disodium Guanylate: Flavor enhancer is 50-100 times more potent than mono sodium glutamate (MSG) & help enhance flavors in snacks, sauces, and canned foods.
  • Evaporated Cane Juice Syrup: Minimally processed sugar, this amber colored liquid retains a slight golden color and a subtle taste from the original cane juice.
  • Expeller-Pressed Canola Oil:  Supposed all-natural plant oil is extract using a non-chemical process & has good monounsaturated fat and ALA omega-3 fatty acids.
  • Expeller-Pressed Ingredients/Cold-Pressed Ingredients: In this process natural oils are extracted from acids by mechanical pressure without the use or addition of chemicals, colorings, or preservatives.
  • Fractionated oils:  These are plant-based oils that have gone through a series of heating and cooling steps instead of hydrogenation and are used for coatings on many energy bars.
  • Glutamate/Glutamic Acid: Free glutamate is naturally occurring in some foods like cheese, dairy products, tomatoes, mushrooms, yeast and soy. This is different from mono sodium glutamate (MSG), the artificial flavor enhancer, a compound of sodium plus glutamate.

Glycerin: Colorless liquid helps ingredients of different water content get along together (so dry ingredients such as grains stay dry, and moist ingredients like fruit stay moist).

High Fructose Corn Syrup: Highly processed liquid sweetener and preservative consists mainly of glucose; it has become a common ingredient in many manufactured foods and drinks.

Lactic Acid: Known as milk acid, this natural compound is used to increase the cheese flavor in foods like pizza. Despite the term milk acid. When only vegetable sources are used, it's okay for vegan diets.

Maltodextrin:  This form of sugar usually made from rice, corn, or potato starch,c an give the body energy over a longer period of time because it releases into the blood stream more slowly than typical sugar.

  • Mono sodium Glutamate(MSG): This controversial flavor enhance is commonly used in Chinese food, canned veggies, soups, and processed meats.

  • Non-Irradiated Spices:  Unless specificall stated as "non-irradiate," spices undergo a process of ionizing radiation to increase shelf life and kill bacteria. While this may sound good, we believer using gamma radiation fro nuclear material goes beyond the level of processing necessary to make natural foods.

  • Oligofructose: Olingossaccharide is an alternative sweetener derived from insulin, which is found naturally in chicory root. Often used to help provide a thicker texture.

  • Partially Hydrogenated Oil: This oil has been partially hardened through chemical processed & contributes trans fats to foods.

  • Polydextrose: This chemically created additive is used as a sugar replacement & a fiber supplement in many foods.

  • Potassium Sorbate: This food presevative is used to hinder the growth of mold and yeast.

  • Silicon Dioxide: Synthetic substance used to keep powdered foods flowing smoothly without congealing.

  • Sodium Benzoate: Chemical preservative is used most prevalentl in acidic foods like salad dressings, carbonated drinks, fruit juices, and condiments.

  • Sodium Phosphates: These are normal & essential salts for the body that work as natural leavening agents, helping make baked goods light and fluffy.
  • Sucralose: Artificial sweetener: said to be 600 times sweeter than real sugar.

  • Tartaric Acid: This organic acid can be found in plants& is used to provide tartness to food

  • Xanthan Gum: Processed using petrochemicals, this is used to create sticky dough.

Inspirational praises by Tiease D. Deutsch

The prudent wise, do not think it odd concerning the fiery trials and tribulations of life which confronts and test our convictions, as though some strange evil has come upon you; but rejoice and keep the faith to the extent that you share in Jesus's agony. For when all the glory is revealed, we may be glad with exceding eternal happiness.
God is trying to tell you something!

Specking from my heart and soul

           Spiritual Encouragement  from Tiease
El  Shaddai, My God take mercy upon your beloved for I take refuge in you; save and rescue me from all who curse and pursue me. Without your guidance they will tear me like a tiger and shred me to pieces with no one to save me.

I do not laugh at what is good and true, for if I had done this and there is guilt on my hands-if I have done wrong to innocence & those who never harmed me or without cause have robbed my sisters & brothers-then allow my enemies to pursue & overtake me; let them trample my life to the dust and make me sleep forever. if I have done wrong there is guilt in my soul by wronging an innocent person.
                               Ava Maria

Arise God to light up my life, Arise in your anger; rise up against the rage of my enemies. Let the assembled individuals gather around you. Rule over them from heaven avove let God alone judge all peoples. Judge me, my God, according to my righteousness, according to my integrity, O Might Eternal Glory, who searches minds, hearts and souls and brings to an end the suffering and violence created by the wicked and makes the righteous of heart and soul triumph!

Inspirational praises by Tiease D. Deutsch

Within this century we have witnessed many great things such as: The Bicentennial, The first moon walk, and many great achievements in technology and healthcare. Unfortunately we have been thunderstruck by horrific events like 9/11. Now ten years later we will remember the innocence lost, the heroic acts by heroes who sacrificed themselves in attempt to save others and my heart is heavy. There is never anything good in terror and senseless loss of life, however allow me to say and remind all that, "We as a people and as a Nation are still standing!" Forgive but never forget.

Blessed is she who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But her delight is in the holy words of our God and upon God's words she meditates day and night. She is like a fruit tree planted by flowing streams of life giving water, which produces huge bounty in season and whose leaves never wither. Whatever she does prospers.

                             Ava Maria

I'm not going to cry

God speed to all of our comrades who  perished in the attacks on 9/11/2001 And may they be welcomed into the bosom of God almighty.

XOXOXO

There no absolute rights or wrongs in the appreciation of a paper doll except you should really love what you buy. Do you like old masters? If so there are multiple reproductions out there and ancient works, but for myself I prefer comtemporary artist like myself who put their heart and soul into their art.
