Shoes make the woman-Fashionistas make the shoe!

A Woman's shoes speak volume about her without ever having to state a word. A prudently selected footwear demonstrates a lot about the individual wearing it,her moods, financial standing can be easily set by the right pair of shoes. It's important for a woman to know what looks good on her feet, varieties of shoes, quality and which shoes are best for specific events, celebration, work and play.
The design of shoes has varied enormously through time and from culture to culture, with appearance originally being tied to function.

Shoes have traditionally been made from leather, wood or canvas, but are increasingly made from other materials: plastics, and petrochemical-based products.

                                Dye-able Shoes and Handbags
If you are looking for an exact match of shoes and bag, such as for wedding shoes, you could always go with dye-able shoes and bags. With companies like Dye-able Shoe Store you can choose from several different general and designer shoes and bags, and have them custom match the items to the color of your choose.

Orthopedic shoes are made especially for fashionistas with problematic feet (Which is No joke!). They are made with anatomically-correct comfort qualities, padded removable foot beds, wide width toe room and most important arch support. Orthopedic shoes have come along way in the fashion world and can now be found in very stylish designs. No-longer considered your grandparent's shoes.

                        VARIETIES OF LADIES FOOTINGS
Vibram Five Fingers aims to simulate your bare feet experience. With the benefit of protecting your precious feet. After all protecting ones feet was the original reason for creating footwear in the first place to shield against the whimsy of "Mother  Nature's" elements, painful pebbles, thorns, glass etc...
There is a large variety of shoes available for women. I will merely touch on some of the most common categories:

High-heeled shoes have long served as an aphrodisiac in many modern and ancient cultures. Due to their obvious benefits: They add height and requires a sexy wiggle in your strut. Traditionally high heels were worn by women for formal gatherings & social occasions, but now-a-days they are worn when ever one feels the urge to spice up her look! They come in a a wide varieties of colors and styles to feast your eyes upon. In our Psyche they have come to represent Instant Sensuality, The Feminine, enthusiastic appeal, and sassy lady attitude.

Stiletto heels are very popular and usually sport a narrow heel which are continually reaching new heights seasonally!

Wedge heels (with a wedge-shaped sole rather than a heel post) have long been a favorite of mine since my childhood. If not to high they make a sturdy heeled shoe which is easier on your feet and doesn't tax your balance as much as stilettos.

The so-called kitten heels  short slender stiletto heels (usually 1½-2 inches high).

Sneakers Shoe/Boot has a whimsical aura about her: A shoe which resembles sneakers, but spots some stylish differences like a heel instead of the rubber flat of a sneaker. Lately I have observed some real strides being made in this design compared to the old-fashioned ones. They are colorful, dramatic and interesting. Which is surprising to me since initially I did not care for the early versions. Earlier designs looked ridiculous as though some one had slammed a pair of sneakers into a heads on collision with a platform with disastrous results. Remarkably creative designers have managed to manipulate the sneaker shoe to create really fascinating results.

Mules are bare back shoes with no fitting around the heel. Sort of flip-flop with heels and a whole lot more eye-appeal.

Sling backs are shoes which are secured by a strap behind the heel, rather than over the top of the foot. I like the design but one must be careful to assure a proper fit, since excessive friction can result in sore Achilles tendons. You know what I'm talking about!

Ballet flats are girly, practical & comfortable ballerina inspired of course footings, that work with just about anything. They are a must have in any Diva's closet.

Kimmies have low heels and a relatively short vamp, (Vamp refers to the part of the "upper" shoe). The vamp is a part of the shoe which covers anywhere on the top part of the foot between where the toes and the legs connect to the foot.

In styles that don't offer a lot of coverage on top of the foot, the part that covers the tops of the toes might also be referred to as the vamp.which exposes the instep. They are popular for warm-weather, practical and comfortable.

Pumps/Courts are typically high-heeled, slip-on dress shoes.

Clog also known as platform shoes have thick soles and heels:

Moccasins have been here centuries before Europeans arrived and were traditionally made by the indigenous people of the land. They are very comfortable and a soft minus heels and usually made of leather.

Sandals: the old summer stand by needs little introduction consisting of a sole and various style straps, much of one's feet is left exposed to the elements of outdoors allowing your feet an cool airy experience.

Espadrilles are another cool airy warm-weather shoe. They usually have a cotton or canvas upper and a flexible sole of rope or rubber. Styles vary and may even have high-heels.

The Saddle we can't over look her: Ordinarily made of leather  with a contrasting saddle-shaped band over the instep. Supposedly the ancient Romans adored the sandal.

Penny loafers were a child hood favorite of mine because of the slot which held a penny on the top of each shoe. They are casual easy to slip-on footing normally without laces; often with tassels & buckles.

Boat shoes are often difficult to distinguish from the loafer except that they may be more casual. They are primarily leather or simulated leather laces are usually simple. Sporting a comfortable sole to prevent damaging or scratching the deck.

Every Divas is familiar with Boots: They may be anklets or sexy eye-popping length. To days boots have come a long way baby since rubber galoshes and easily make their own fashion statement. They are made of various materials including patent leather, vinyl, suede, lacquers, and the common leather of course. What ever suits your fancy you will find it in a boot. The functional boots include: rain boots and snow boots, work boots and hiking boots etc...

The list and varieties of women's footwear continually evolves and I feel we have only touched upon the possibilities here. One thing for sure the Empire-State of super high heel shoes many girls are sporting now are eye-catchers, but they often are terribly uncomfortable & unsafe. When it comes to fashion and beauty-We can only speculate on-How High is to High! Doesn't seem to be a concern for many. Personally I do appreciate the Wow-appeal of some of these skyscraper high heeled spectacles but they aren't for every Diva nor are they practical for everyday wear.

The truth is no one can tell you which shoe is best for you, like taste buds they are a personal matter of taste. Often women have several varieties of shoes which we favour according to your event/occasions. My motto is look good yes-but be comfortable doing so!
