Tiease's Featured Free Movie Treat!

I enjoy searching for free movies for my readers to enjoy and I attempt to provide a well earned positive end-of-the-week escapism for free! Free movies aren't easy to find, but as long as I can find them I will pass them on for you to enjoy.

For myself good movies have always been an Intimate & fun filled experience, but the economy and the ridiculous cost of movie tickets makes it difficult to impossible for many of use to afford a night out at the movie.

The concession snack stands demand ransom money for popcorn & just a small drink. By the time it all said and done a night out at the movies can easily cost 2 people $40.00 and up and for a family it's even more outrageous!

I have made it my personal mission to bring you affordable convenient entertainment. Life can be fun & Tiease's Friday night movie is your time to invite friends over to share in the fun & cut loose. Thank God it's Friday night!

This week I have chosen:

Moth Diaries

The Moth Diaries
The Moth Diaries: Rebecca is suspicious of Ernessa, the new arrival at her boarding school. But is Rebecca just jealous of Ernessa's bond with Lucie, or does the new girl truly possess a dark secret?

For Fashionistas confronted by Diabetes
Diabetes Mellitus

From childhood I have heard the statement, "I have Sugar " so even before I became a registered nurse diabetes rung a bell in my ethnic community and was a problem then as it is now. In fact diabetes seems to be on the rise I blame the seditary computer orientated society we are living in today. Don't get me wrong I enjoy my computer and without this modern technology I wouldn't be specking to you now, but it is imperative that we as a society utilize this tool to educate our fellow Fashionistas about the life altering & life threatening facts associated with Diabetes.

As with all of my Self-health-Awareness blogs I believe in starting with the basics and progressive enlightment, so I shall begin.

Normally your foods consumed is converted into glucose and used or stored by your body with little problems. Your insulin hormone stimulates the uptake of sugar by your body cells, however in the case of diabetes the system is out of whack. The pancereas is the organ responsible for making insulin is suddenly becomes unreliable.

Diabetes mellitus is a condition that occurs when the body can't utilize glucose (a kind of sugar) properly. Glucose is our primary source of energy for body's cells; In fact the human brain is nourished exclusiviely by sugars.

The levels of glucose in the blood are controlled by a hormone called insulin, which is made by the pancreas. Insulin enables glucose to enter and nourish body cells.

Unfortunately in diabetes, the pancreas does not make enough insulin (type 1 diabetes) and/or the diabetic's body is incapable of functioning normally to insulin that is made which results in type 2 diabetes. The result is glucose blood levels are elevated in the body resulting in negative outcomes. Sign and symptomsare increased urination, extreme thirst, and unexplained weight loss or gains in some cases.

Type 1 Diabetes also referred to as Insulin-deprendent diabetes need daily insulin injection:

Type 2 Diabetes also known as non-insulin-dependent diabetes is very common. The afflicted individual with Type II Diabetes may be helped with diet and exercise, however 25% will need oral diabetic medications to improve their metabolism.

Believe it or not:

Diet & exercise lifestyle modifications not only treats type II diabetes but has the added benefit of treating hypertension(High Blood pressure), elevated cholesterol levels, and chronic obesity. Everyone can benefit from this data; It's time to imploy these life-saving shifts in your personal life. Please remember that you are unique, so to best determine what foods & exercises are appropriate for your body speak with your health-care-provider and don't be afraid to ask questions when doing so, because you need understanding to improve you chances of better quality of life.

It's perfectly normal for you to feel depressed once diagnosed with diabetes and if you find that your melancholy is crippling you then talk to your doctor about anti-depressant medications and perhaps psychotherapy. Talking to someone about how you are feeling and knowing that your quality of life need not decline may be enough to improve your mood and help you focus.

Some common Antidepressants drugs:

  • wwwAbilifyoffer.com
  • Prozac
  • Cymbalta (Citalopram) very expensive & not all insurance cover these drugs, so check with your pharmacist when considering an anti-depressant medication.
  • Mirtazapine (Often prescribed daily before bedtime)

There are many choices of anti-depressants, so you'll need to discuss which is best for you with your health care provider. Always bet on yourself and your pro-self-health advocacy!

Nutrition is Supreme when it come Diabetes so educate yourself.

Alcohol is fattening because it's loaded with empty calories. I know that some of you can't completely eliminate alcohol from your life but you can reduce your alcohol consumption to 3 times a week. If Saturday night is your night on the town then save you allowance of drink for that night.

Actions to help keep you Healthy & Safe!

It's impossible to eliminate sugar from your diet completely, since even healthy vegetable contain forms of sugar and besides it taste good, but you can reduce you consumption of refined sugar, substitute fruit which is naturally sweet & contains complex sugars and positive nutrients. I'm not a fan of artificial sweeteners but they are another way to go. I believe that moderation, proper portions and smart sugar intake choices works well.

Many diabetic are unaware that Chromium(trace mineral) helps normalize your blood sugal levels and assist insulin metabolism. A chromium supplement is a wise choice and a daily multivitamin/mineral supplement is a smart way to go.
Discuss all supplements you are considering with your health-care provider prior to taking them.

The good news is that many Divas diagnosed with type II diabetes may be able to control and/or eliminate her dependence on diabetic medications by just shedding excess pounds. Just 10-15 pounds can dramatically reduce your dependency on medication.

Exercise helps normalize your weight, improve your mood, and help correct insulin resistance which is the primary cause of Type II diabetes. If you are not exercising daily pay heed on your work-out days, because you may have to cut back on your insulin if you're on insulin and or diabetic medication, so discuss this with your doctor.

Once your health-care provider give you the green to exercise consider purchasing exercise tapes/video, joining a health club, professsional weight training and/or starting a power walk group. I know that I'm often more motivated when I'm in a group working out.

Avoid crazy fad diets these can make your diabetes worse and lead to death. Decreasing your dietary fat is a good approach if you're trying to shed few excess pounds. Aim for less than 10% of your calories from dietary fat, 15% from protein and about 80% from fruit & veggie carbohydrates. Moderation is the key. Andy reduciton of excessive fat will improve your overall well being and your diabetes.

Keep in mind that diet & regular activity affects the way your body handles insulin and metabolism so discuss sliding-scale dosage of insulin with your Physician, because diet and exercising can have a drastic impact on your metabolism.

Believe it or not:

Research has proven that cinnamon and turmeric spices impove your body's ability metabolise sugars. Those deliciousp Jamaican curry dishes turns out to be delicious and nutritious.

As with everything good things come to an end. I have provided you some basic now go out and do your own research, become self-health aware and confidently discuss your health with your health-care provider.

I give you nutrition facts that you can see for each dish enabling you to track what you eat and ensuring you maintain your gorgeous appearance, because what you don't know can uglyfy you & lead to amputations, blindness, nerve damage, poor skin quality and eventually a long drawn out uncomfortable death. I wanted to tell you first that you can over come diabetes and make your life better.

I love shrimp so you know I had to include a shrimp recipe

Dietitian's tip:
Though shrimp is higher in cholesterol than most meat and poultry, it's lower in fat and saturated fat. And fat, not cholesterol, has the greatest effect on blood cholesterol. Shrimp also has omega-3 fatty acids, a type of fat that's good for your heart.
By Mayo Clinic staff
Serves 4

Ingredients

1/2 pound uncooked shrimp, peeled and deveined (about 32 shrimp)
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 1/2 teaspoons water
1/2 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
1/2 teaspoon fresh oregano, chopped

Directions

Rinse shrimp in cold water. Pat dry with a paper towel and set aside on a plate.

To make the marinade, whisk together the tomato paste, water and oil in a small bowl. Add garlic, chili powder and oregano. Mix well.

Using a brush, spread the marinade (it will be thick) on both sides of the shrimp. Place in the refrigerator.

Prepare a hot fire in a charcoal grill or heat a gas grill or broiler (grill). Away from the heat source, lightly coat the grill rack or broiler pan with cooking spray. Position the cooking rack 4 to 6 inches from the heat source.

Place the shrimp in a grill basket or on skewers and place on the grill. Turn the shrimp after 3 to 4 minutes. The cooking time varies depending on the heat of the fire, so watch carefully.

Transfer to a plate and serve immediately.

Yahweh (God) is the Absolute-Conciliator!

Praise Yahweh the God of Israel & Mother Earth

Praise Yahweh in all God's glory; praise Yahweh in God's mighty heaven. Praise Yahweh the ultimate leader.

Praise Yahweh for providing us unsurpassing greatness.

Praise Yahweh with a song in your heart and instrumentation, praise Yahweh with harp and lyre, praise Yahweh with music, rejoicing, praise and dancing.

Praise Yahweh with strings and flute, praise Yahweh with the clash of tambourines and cymbals.

Permit and encourage everthing that has life to praise God.
