Recipes fit for a Queen!

Beefy Burgers

Ingredients

1 lb. ground sirloin
1 lb. ground chuck
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. freshly ground pepper
Hamburger bun or Bread of your choice

Makes: 6 servings.
Hands-on-time: 28 minutes
Total Time 23 minutes, not including toppings or condiments.

Let meat mixture stand at room temperature 10 minutes before grilling.

Prep time

Preheat grill to 350 degrees to 400 degrees (medium-high) heat. Combine first 4 ingredients gently. Shape mixture into 6 (5-inch) patties.

Grill, covered with grill lid, 5 to 7 minutes on each side or until beef is fully cooked through ( With no pink at all in the center, I prefer very well done.)

Serve with your bun or bread. Enjoy


To jazz up your burger try these suggestions:




Sun-Dried Tomato-Pesto Burgers:

Stir 1 (3-oz.) package sun-dried tomato halves, chopped, and 1 garlic clove, pressed, into meat mixture. Proceed as directed. Top each burger with refrigerated pesto, sliced goat cheese, and sliced pepperoncini salad peppers.

Pimiento Cheese-Bacon Burgers:

Stir 1/4 cup mixed chopped fresh herbs(basil, mint,oregano what ever you prefer) Proceed as directed. Top each burger with pimiento cheese cooked bacon slices, lettuce, and tomato slices.

I have loved corn on the cob from childhood but I don't ever remember preparing it myself on the grill. I watched my mother prepare it on the grill and enjoy immensely, so I decided to learn how to prepare corn on the cob properly and learn few tasty recipes for all my trouble. Now you can share what I've learned.

Here are 3 easy yummy ways to prepare corn on the cob on the grill. Bona Petite

Preheat grill to 350 degrees to 400 degrees(medium-high0 heat. Pull back husks from 6 ears fresh corn; remove and discard silks.

Tie husks together with kitchen string to form a handle. Soak corn in cold salted water to cover 10 minutes; drain. Grill corn, covered with grill lid, 15 minutes or until golden brown, turning occasionally. Served with desired toppings.

Makes: 6 servings.

Herded Cotija Cheese Corn on the cob:


1 cup crumbled Cotija cheese. 2 Tabsp. each chopped fresh cilantro and chives, and 1 tsp. each chili powder and lime zest. Brush corn with melted butter, sprinkle with Herbed Cotija cheese. Serve with fresh lime wedges.
Makes 11/4 cups.

Chipotele Butter:

Stir together 1/2 cup butter, softened; 2 Tbsp. each finely chopped fresh cilantro and chives; 1 Tbsp finely chopped canned chipotle pepper in adobo sauce;1 tsp lime zest; and 1 tsp freshly ground pepper.

Makes: 3/4 cup.

Parmesan-Pesto Butter:

Stir togethr 1/2 cup butter, softened; 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese; 2 Tbsp, jarred refrigerated pesto sauce; 2 Tbsp. each finely chopped fresh flatleaf parsley and chives; 1 garlic clove, pressed; and 1 tsp. freshly ground pepper in a bowl.

Makes about: 3/4 cup.
