Mascaras Spotlight

Who wouldn't love to have those lush full beautiful limped eyelashes of the rich & famous?!  Face it anyone calling herself a Fashionista realizes lashes complete that stylish altogether look. The problem is a dazzling amount of products out there claiming to be the best. Honestly when it comes to mascara products you should conduct your own personal  research in order to determine the best one for you. First decide what you want from your mascara. Do you want length, depth, curl, fullness, color etc...

Quality eye-makeup is a personal taste issue Eyelash transplantation does for the individual what their genes did not. It enhances  your existing lashes allowing you to grab attention on the spot however eyelash transplant surgery is expensive & estimated cost is around $3,000 an eye. Not to mention post-surgery recovery time, initially discomfort, this may be too extreme for some. Faux lashes are another way to go but it does take some skill, effort, & learning curve  to apply them. Finally we come to  mascara usually more reasonably priced for those without deep pockets (But even mascara especially the designer ones cost have become outrageous).Remember that trends come and go, so select the one that best meets your needs. I have mentioned some popular brands which have been getting praise by endorsers (Keep in mind many are paid to push certain products) you will need to use these suggestion and do your own research. When it comes to mascara the proof is in the pudding and who knows there may be a product out there that no one is pushing at present but is absolutely what you desire.

            Some mascaras trending now
Lancome Definicils High Definition Mascara is one of 16 washable mascaras.
Maybelline Full 'n Soft mascara gets high rating for impressive length and it layers well.
Dior DiorShow Backstage Makeup Mascara is considered by some professionals to be the best overall,
Keep in mind that at some of the Dollar & Discount stores you may be lucky enough to get name brand products which department stores going out of business or discontinuing a mascara has sold to them in bulk at a discount so don't dispense a product because it's inexpensive often the difference is price is so slight it scarcely matters. The general rule to keep in mind when applying practically any mascara is apply one or two coatings for a lighter, natural look and  more for that Mistress Elvira pop-appeal.

What I will suggest is that you do your own testing and follow these steps:
  • Consider the cost.
  • Is it easy to apply?
  • Does it lengthen?
  • Make sure it doesn't clump (So nasty!)
  • Does it easily wash off  (if that's what you want or doesn't wash off in water easily).
  • Defines and separates-major factor?.
  • Does mascara add volume & thickness?
  • What sort of applicator brush is used.
  • Does it smudge easily. Some mascaras now include conditioner & nourishes so keep this in mind.

            Faux Eyelashes for consideration

Individual False Eyelashes – Perfect for everyday wear.
Natural False Eyelashes – Enhance any eye makeup look.
Eyelash Extensions – The newest and easiest way to longer lashes.
Feather False Eyelashes – Go wild for fantasy makeup looks.
Remember that each has a different type of application method.
