Please don't rebuke me when your are angry or discipline me in your wrath. Be merciful to me, Yahweh for I am faint;
O Yahweh heal me, for my bones are in anguish.
My spirit is in pain.
How long, O Yahweh how long?
Turn O Yahweh and deliver your child; save me because of your ever lasting love.
No human remembers you when they have passed from their mortal coil, lying decaying in the cold earth. Who prays to you from a urn?
I am tired from groining and enduring hard times; all night I soak my linens with tears and drench my soul with sorrow; My mind fails me growing heavy from my strain.
My eyes grow weak with pain; they are blinded because of my enemies.
Away from me, all you malicious mortals who dwell in evil, for Yahweh has heard my prayers
and pleading for mercy. Yahweh will acknowledge my prayers.
All my enemies will be ashamed and dismayed; they will turn back and flee in disgrace
One of the all time great prayers, which remains completely sincere.
