Hair extensions for the Fashionista-Infusion Hair Extensions

Come into my life I've got so much more to share with you!

About four years ago I saw a brief segment on a revolutionary technique of hair extensions and thought it look promising I told myself that one day I would seek out more information on the process because it looked like something I might be interested in. After all the power to manipulate the length and thickness of your head sounds like a good thing to me, but I had no idea what the new procedure was called I started researching and came up with a lot of valuable information I thought some of my readers might be interested in. Every and anyone can wear extension and they do.

This is a semi- permanent technique for weaving hair using the revolutionary hair infusion technique which weaves individual strands of human hairs to your existing hair, to produce a durable, hard-wearing dream head of hair that may last up to six months depending on how well you care for it, quality of hair and how fast your own hair grows.

If you would like to see what a hair fusion technique may look like use this link to video:     http://youtube/hD2SfSeSsWE

The one thing that you must take into consideration is that there is a lot of work and hours required to achieve this look. The cost depends on who's doing your extensions, amount of work involved and the large quantity of hair that must be purchased. Approximately $500-$2000. Just how long it will take depends on the amount of hair being used, elaborateness of style, skill of your hair-care provider, and your endurance to sit still for hours upon hour. A fusion hair connector commonly referred to as a "fusion heat wand" is used to connect the keratin-tipped extension to your hair.

The entire process may take as little as 5 hours or as much as 20 hours, depending on the area that you want to covered. If you've opted for the whole head than prepare to sit for hours, it is not uncommon for some people to spread the process of application over a couple of days. The application time varies just like any other beauty treatment looking good takes time.

For decades now the rich and famous have enjoyed Hair Fusion techniques in addition to other hidden beauty secrets the general public are not familiar with. It's about time every day Fashionistas had the privilege of sporting long luxurious locks at will and I am excited about this technique because it is so versatile and hard-wearing.

This technique attaches small bunches of hair to your own hair strands using tiny metal clips. It's easy to get in over your head if you try to apply your own so go to a salon. Like all other methods of applying hair extensions, daily care is important to ensure extended wear your micro-fusion link hair extensions.
                                          Getting started  Instructions

Once you've decided to invest your money and time into fusion extensions.  It's wise to decide on the hair style, color, length and texture of hair you would like. Hair extension come in so many different shades, hues and even wild colors the sky is the limit! The most difficult decision many Fashionistas face  is deciding on a color in the first place.

No Sew Hair Extension Demo Link:http://youtu.be/al-emSGYi_w

No matter what color you decide upon always color your hair prior to applying your extensions into your hair to avoid damaging your extension later. I suggest waiting a week or two after color treating or bleaching to allow your hair a recovery period making sure to condition your hair well during these prior weeks to prepare your hair for the procedure.

Make sure you order enough hair don't skimp yourself because any weave looks pitiful when not full enough it's like trying to spread butter over to much bread-It just doesn't cut it. You've seen visible tracks and too thin weaves which are obvious weaves and very embarrassing. So take the steps to make sure you don't become a weave faux pa. For longer hair order more hair pieces  so your hair volume is uniformed throughout your head.

Shampoo your hair the day you are going to have your extensions bonded to your hair. Make sure that your hair is clean and dry. It is important not to use hair grease of any type of oil or condition on your hair that day since this will interfere with the attachment process of your extensions.

For curly haired Fashionistas preparing for your extension you may want to use a relaxer a couple of weeks prior so that the hair able to blend better, depending on the waviness of the hair you're applying. Trim and style your hair once the hair is fused to your hair.

The are several ways to add extensions to your hair including using glue, clip-ins, hook weaving, net weaving, sew-in and my subject of conversation today Hair Extension Fusions.  We are fortunately to live in an age where as if a Fashionista wasn't blessed with her desired physical attributes there are so many option available in which to obtain the physical assets and appearance you desire. Fusion works for anyone who to a dramatic change in appearance of just achieve a new look. Hair extensions give you the opportunity to add texture, color, length and the opportunity to achieve that,"I'm every woman look at will." The fusion hair strands and/or small bunches of hair have a  keratin-tipped unique glue that is used to connect your extension to your hair by using a Fusion connector/heat wand.

Keratin-tipped human hair extensions
Heat wand

A) Part half-inch squares starting at the nape of the neck. Clip the rest of the hair out of the way.

B) Thread the hair through the template hole, gently. Push the template hole toward the scalp. The hair template is used to keep the adhesive (or keratin bond) from getting on other pieces of hair.

C) Firmly pull the hair down. Place the tip of the extension on top of the natural hair near the template. Clamp the heat wand over the keratin-tipped extension for a few seconds until it's melted.

D) Unclasp the heat wand. Roll the keratin bond between your thumb and forefinger.

Repeat steps B through D with the rest of your hair.

How to Care for Micro-Fusion Link Method Hair Extensions

Unfortunately after over coming the obstacles of battling breast cancer or other illness many women are confronted by hair loss and baldness. Fortunately there are techniques of applying micro-fusion hair extensions to compensate for hair loss, treat alopecia (Hair loss disorder)  and when your hair just won't grown no matter how well you care for it.

I like Micro-Fusion extensions because they're realistic, less detectable and you have the option of parting it in many different way, that you just can't do with the traditional sew-in/glued hair extensions. It's nothing like the real thing baby and micro-fusion is the next best thing (Hair transplant surgery is another expensive option but that's another topic) They're versatile and allow for more styles.
              Required
    * Soft-bristled brush
    * Moisturizing shampoo
    * Leave-in conditioner
    * Swim cap
    * Covered elastic band

Always brush your micro-fusion link hair extension with a soft-bristled brush throughout your day to prevent tangles,  from bottom to the top, gently removing tangles. It's important to stop prior to reaching link that holds your hair extension in place.

When preparing to wash your hair (Which I advise you not to do more often than once a week) brush your hair before you wash it of remove any tangles. Wet your hair gradually to avoid quickly swelling the micro-fusion extensions and causing tangling. Allow the water to run from the top of your head to the tips of your hair. Work a moisturizing shampoo into the hair from the top to the tips. Rinse and apply leave in conditioner of choice. Wearing hair extensions gives your hair an opportunity to rest and just grow healthier when properly applied.

Don't get carried away with the heat and curling iron (Many Fashionistas do-then they wonder why their hair is in such poor condition) and keep in mind that only human hair will tolerate heat, synthetic hair will melt so never use a hot curling iron on non-human hair. Trust me I speak from experience.

If you are planning a day at the beach or pool protect your extensions by wearing a bathing cap. You don't want to ruin your do after so much expense and time invested in it.
Micro-fusion link hair extension tangles easier when wet, so make sure your hair is thoroughly dry prior to jumping into bed. A nap cap is a good idea, since it protects your hair and keeps stray annoying hairs from irritating you as you try to sleep. If you take really good care of your extensions they have been know to last for 5-6monts. I have actually experience this with sew-in weaves too

Human hair & hair extensions have always been more costly when compared to faux hair, but the versatility of human hair and the possibility of styling and using various heating and styling irons is worth the cost, and it looks better. Micro-fusion link hair extensions are sold under many brand names, including Remy, Cinderella, Lord & Cliff, Great Lengths and Garland Drake. You must decide for yourself which one suits you best. Never use products for human hair on faux hair/synthetic hair you are asking for disaster. There are hair products specifically created for faux hair extensions.

How to Remove Fusion Hair Extensions
 methods of hair extensions. They're well loved for their realistic appearance along with the very minimal damage they produce. Approximately 25 strands of individual hairs are attached to a small piece of your actual hair. They're attached using a waxed based keratin protein. Unlike many types of extensions, fusion extensions can be removed by yourself, within seconds.

                                                             Required
                                         Alcohol Based Gel Hair Clips Pliers

Section your hair using clips. When extensions are applied there is a section of your hair referred to as the "red zone". This is wear no extensions are applied so that they won't show through when you pull your hair up. Clip away your hair within the red zone, which is located all along your hair line and approximately two inches in. Separate the remainder of your hair into 3-5 horizontal rows for an easier removal process.

Apply an alcohol based gel to your fusion bonds. Alcohol loosens up the protein bonds allowing you to easily break them. Work on one bond at a time. Rub a small amount of alcohol based gel between your thumb and pointer finger. Once you have rubbed the gel between your fingers to heat it up, continue to rub the gel onto one of your bonds.

Crush the bond with pliers. Immediately after you have rubbed alcohol based gel onto a bond use pliers to crush the bond. Place the bond between the two points of the pliers and apply a generous amount of pressure for approximately five seconds.

Slide away the bonded hair. After crushing the bond give the extension a small tug. The extension should start to slide away quite easily. If it doesn't, crush the bond with pliers once more. Slide the extension all the way off of your actual hair and the bond will fall away with it.

Finish the removal process. Continue removing one fusion bonded extension at a time. After you have successfully removed all of the bonds wash your hair. Follow a washing with a deep conditioning treatment.
                                            How to Apply Hair Fusion

Extension hair extensions are a great way to go from short to long hair stat. Human hair comes in various lengths, shades and colors and the hair extensions will make your existing hair look fuller and longer.

         Required
    * Rat-tail comb
    * Fusion hair extensions
    * Bonding device
    * Heating device
    * Protective gloves (optional)

Part a horizontal section of the hair with a rat-tail comb, starting at the nape of the hair. Separate the front part of the hair and secure it with a hair clip or pony tail holder. Grab a small cluster of strands, approximately 25 pieces, and attach the bonding devices near the root of the natural hair.

Apply the heating device to the bonding attachment, being sure not to get too close to your scalp, approximately 1/4 inch from the roots. It's best to use protective gloves to protect your fingers from getting burned by the heating device.

Roll the bonding attachment between your fingers until it has flattened out and cooled off. Hold it downward as it is cooling. Use enough extensions to make the hair look full or adjust to meet your specifications.

Continue the process until you have completed the whole head. Stop when you reach the crown of the head. Leave the natural hair out around the edges, because this will be used to hide the fusion extensions. As with hair extensions, certain styles provide better coverage to disguise the added hair.

Lift hair up and styles as desired. The hair can be curled and styled along with the natural hair. Experiment with different hairstyles. Extensions can be left in the hair for several months when applied properly. In most cases, hair fusion extensions can be washed to maintain hair health.

Hair extensions are a popular quick and trouble-free way to get gorgeous long hair. One type of extensions is done by fusing the hair with heated or non heated glue. Fusion extensions are so popular because they are one of the most believable types of extensions on the market.

                                                                 Tips
 Fusion hair extensions are fused to the natural hair by using either a hot glue treatment or a non-heat treatment. The piece of equipment that is used to bond human hair extensions to natural strands of hair is comparable to a hot glue gun and costs about $100 (as of 2009). The fusion method of applying hair extensions takes about 8 to 16 hours and cost several hundred dollars. Hair extensions can last up to six months so it is important to figure out the style that you like the best and want to live with for that long. Extensions can be the same color as your original base color or they can give dimension by being a lighter or darker or even dyed a bright color. If you desire longer, thicker hair you will need a lot of extensions, so order your extensions accordingly. Also, if you need to dye your hair to cover up roots, you may want to do it before getting extensions put in because you may feel exhausted after sitting for many hours afterward.
                                                               Instructions

This method of applying extensions is usually done by professional hairstylist so that mishaps like hair loss and burning do not occur. First the client hair must be washed, conditioned, cleaned of heavy oils and straightened. The stylist will first divide the client's hair in the back of the head into small skinny sections in rows as if the client is to receive skinny individual braids. The amount of sections varies from 20 to 50 depending on if the client wants a full head of extensions or not. Meanwhile the hot glue gun device should heat to the proper temperature. After the hot glue gun has reached the appropriate temperature it is used to attach the human hair extension to client's skinny, sectioned-off hair toward the roots. After the extensions are fused the hair should not be washed for at least three days. The fusion extensions can then be washed once a week without having to worry about them falling out. It is also possible to use styling products like mousse to gel to your hair.

Seek a professional hair stylist when it is time to remove the hair extensions. Trying to remove them on your own can cause breakage.

How to Make Pre-Tipped Cold Fusion Hair Extensions

Once you are comfortable using fusion hair extension there may come time when you want to customize your own hair extensions. It is best to make your extensions before you begin the process of applying them. If you don't you'll be sorry and have a big mess on your hands!

                           Required

    * 8 oz. loose or wafted hair extensions
    * 1 oz. keratin grains
    * Manicure scissors
    * Heating application tool
    * U- or V-tip extension strands

                                  Custom Hair Extensions From Bulk

Prepare your workspace by laying out your bulk hair and tips and turning on your heating tool. If you are working with hair on a weft, use the manicure scissors to trim sections of hair from the weft.

 Select a small portion of hair, approximately 20 to 25 strands and hold firmly about a half-inch from the top of the strands.

Use the pincers of the heating tool to select a keratin grain. Allow the grain to melt a bit in between the pincers of the tool.

 Apply the keratin to the selection of hair by clamping the pincers onto the tip of the section several times, until all keratin has been transferred from the tool to the hair.

As the keratin cools, roll the tip between your thumb and forefinger with slight pressure to create a thin, shoelace-like tip.Trim the loose or frayed ends above the tip.

Place the tip between the pincers of the heating tool to melt the keratin.

Roll the keratin between your thumb and forefinger to mold the tip into a thin I-tip. Trim any frayed ends.
Custom cold-fusion extensions can be created using human or synthetic bulk hair.

Use hair that is 1 inch longer than the desire extensions length to allow for the trimming for frayed ends.

When working with cuticle-aligned human hair, be sure that all the hair lies in the same direction to avoid tangles during application.

                                   Micro Fusion Hair Extensions Varieties

You've probably heard of the Remy hair extensions which are a popular brand of hair extensions. They are sold with the cuticles still intact, giving them the most realistic feel and look. They are versatile and come in a variety of shades, lengths and textures. Applying Remy micro fusion hair extensions can take up to 10 hours or more to complete, so be prepared to sit for a while and make yourself as comfortable as you can.
                                                                     Required

                                                                    * Comb
                                                                    * Extension glue
                                                                    * Iron for hair extensions

Wash, condition and completely dry the hair. If the hair is of a coarser texture, straighten the hair.

Section the hair into straight sections starting at the top of the head and moving down to the nape of the neck. These sections should be divided down the middle of the head and then sectioned horizontally using straight lines about an inch wide.

Start at the nape of the neck. Grab a very small amount of hair, about the width of the extension, and place the shield around the hair at the root. The shield is used to protect the person's real hair from being stuck on any hair surrounding the hair you are working on.

 Place the extension underneath the real hair and use about a finger's length between the glue and the scalp.

A) Select a strand of pre-tipped hair and use the manicure scissors to trim away the outer corners of the tip to form a triangular shape.

B)  Place the tip between the pincers of the heating tool to melt the keratin.

C)  Roll the keratin between your thumb and forefinger to mold the tip into a thin I-tip. Trim ends.

  Use the hair extension iron and melt the keratin bonding glue. This should only be applied for a few seconds until you can visually see the glue melted.

 Remove the iron and roll the melted glue, with your fingers, around the hair extension and the person's own hair. This will bond the extensions to the hair.

Perform this technique until the entire row has been completed. After you are finished with the row, move up to the next row and eventually end up on the sides of the head. Do not apply extensions in places that are visual. Only apply extensions where there is hair to cover them.

It's important that you practice savvy hair maintenance care.

 Use a comb and work your way through your hair from the ends up to the roots. This is the best way to remove any tangles in your Remi Goddess Hair Extensions. Do not pull or tug on the hair, because it may damage the extensions. If you need to remove a tangle, work the comb through the hair and take your time to get the tangle out.

Wash your hair as you normally would, just make sure to go all in one direction when you are working your fingers through your hair. Rinse your hair out completely and let the hair air dry. Do not use a hair dryer on your hair. if you have to, set the dryer on very low and cool. This will help to prevent damage to your Remi Goddess hair extensions. Do not go to sleep on a wet head of hair, as this could cause tangles.

Wear a swim cap when swimming to prevent chemicals or other substances in the water from damaging your Remi Goddess hair extensions.

Use cloth-covered elastics to put your hair up. Do not use plastic elastics, as they could harm the Remi Goddess hair extensions by breaking the hair or damaging it.

Cold-fusion hair extensions are a kind of strand-by-strand extensions that are attached without the use of heat, most often held in place by connector beads. Though the strands come in a variety of colors and textures, occasionally custom extensions are needed. Whether you're making your extensions from scratch or modifying heat-fusion extensions, it is best to create the extensions before the application process.

                Required
    * 8 oz. loose or wefted hair extensions
    * 1 oz. keratin grains
    * Manicure scissors
    * Heating application tool
    * U- or V-tip extension strands

Buying in bulk is usually cheaper in the long run, so if you feel up to it try preparing your own hair extensions and saving your self a few bulks in the long run. There are so many stylish clothes out there a Fashionista can extra with those extra dollars!

As the keratin cools, roll the tip between your thumb and forefinger with slight pressure to create a thin, shoelace-like tip. Remember to always trim frayed ends after applying them.

Well that's it for now hopefully I have helped to make up your mind about the Infusion Hair weave procedure and until next time darlings stay pretty.
