Tiease's Hands-on feet pampering for Fashionistas.

The high price for sporting those super high-heels can leave your feet crying for mercy. Don't take chance with your feet. Women tend to take their feet for granted when it comes to holistic care & basic pain prevention. I decided to put together this handy "Diva's Foot Pampering" to help relieve the ache.


Nightly soaks alternating warm & cold water. 5 minutes in cold then follow-up for 10 minute warm soak reduce swelling & allow blood to flow through your blood vessels. Health Alert! Prior to any feet massage make sure that you aren't suffering from thrombus(blood clots)which can dislodge with vigorous massage & travel to your heart or brain. Once you have the all clear from your health care provider use a really good emollient to give yourself a much needed massage or better yet have your significant other massage your feet; So sexy!


For burning feet a capsaicin ointment will help, ask your health care provider about prescribing a cream or purchasing one over-the-counter.


Fashionistas also known as Shoeholics; I can not stress how essential it is that you purchase the right size shoe & best width for you. The vanity of wearing shoes to small & tight for your feet can lead to a host of foot problems, including ingrown toenails, corns, fungus infections etc...




Stretching your Achilles tendon (Heel cord) located at the back of your foot, below your calf, around the ankle & up. This tendon is so essential that if you injure it you won't be pain & may lose your ability to walk. To stretch, stand 3 feet from wall & place your hands on wall. Lean gently forward wall, bring one leg forward & bending at the elbows; Back leg should remain straight with the heel on floor & you should feel a gentle stretch in your calf muscle. Take turns alternating legs.


Don't wear worn out shoes they just can't support your precious feet.


Tempered Stone Pedicure

1  Warm stones in crock pot to about 125 degrees. The stones should be about the size of a quarter or a half dollar. Put warm water in a basin for both feet.  Add Epsom salt or bath salts to water, if desired. Warm paraffin wax & pour into foot basin.
        
2  Soak feet in warm water for about ten minutes. Use a pumice to exfoliate your feet. Rinse & pat dry.
       
 3   Prior to submerging your feet into was test the temperature to make sure to avoid burns; Dip your feet into the paraffin wax. 
Place feet on a towel & allow wax to dry for about 5-10 minutes.  Gently scrape off wax & apply a hot stone in between each of your toes. Wrap your legs and feet in warm towels for another ten minutes.
        
4     Remove the towels and stones. Rub oil or lotion on your legs. Take one of the hot stones & massage your legs and feet with it.
        
5   Trim and file your nails. Apply your favorite nail polish.


 Warnings


    Test temperature of stones & wax prior to use.
